Union Leader Endorses McCain

Where's William Loeb when you need him?

Under Loeb, The New Hampshire Union Leader (is nothing sacred?) would never have endorsed a McCain style politician. Loeb and his ally Meldrim Thompson were all about low taxes. No truer blue conservatives played politics in America.

(Back when blue was the party of the Republicans and Red was the color of the Democrats. One dumb USA Today map changed all that... although I have to admit that "painting the map red" has a better ring than "painting the map blue".)

My guess is that if Loeb were alive today, he'd be FredHead, or maybe a Tacredo guy. But McCain? No way.

New Hampshire ain't what it used to be.
