Energy Timeline

This is worth reading, if not just to think about how the global warming debate is being framed today. Like most political debates, Global Warming is argued almost completely within the context of the technologies as they are used today. Yet with change hyper-accelerating, it is silly to think that carbon emissions as a percentage of economic output will remain at present day levels. They will continue to fall, as they have for the past fifty years. Anyone who lived in Pittsburgh in the 1920's or drove the I-5 in Los Angeles in the 1970's appreciates that.
