"Watching morning television for me is the equivalent of reading People magazine in the dentist's office."

As I commented on a friend's blog recently (about Anna Nicole Smith saturation reporting), television content reflects more about the people who watch TV these days than television itself. The only people left watching the boob tube are those at the bottom end of the education/income spectrum. As such, TV content is targeted to the lowest demographic, even below the traditional "lowest common denominator". Everyone else is reading or watching YouTube.
