Romney Keynote

The conservatives are meeting in Washington this weekend for their annual hootinany. It says something about Mitt Romney's position with the party faithful that his speech was scheduled as the keynote.

The Powerline guys have some criticisms of the speech itself, saying that it was too long and perhaps a bit unfocused. I wasn't there, so I don't know. But I have heard the Romney stump several times, and it this was not it. The regular speech is shorter and more focused. But it is also not appropriate for last night's venue. It is for the meet and greet kind of events involving fewer than one hundred people.

I'll update this post with any other reactions of the speech.

Hootinany? You've been in the South too long...
