I bet you can guess who said this...

Girl-power feminists who got where they are by marrying men with money or power - Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Arianna Huffington and John Kerry - love to complain about how hard it is for a woman to be taken seriously.

It has nothing to do with their being women. It has to do with their cheap paths to power. Kevin Federline isn't taken seriously either.

Sometimes the loudmouthed wench stumbles onto the truth. Other times she's just plain over-the-top.

My favorite nugget of wisdom was when she wrote of the attendees at the 2004 Dem convention in Boston that there were among the crowds "corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons."

You're not going to believe this, but I swear it's true. Between when I wrote the comment, and read Jake's response, I got an email from a friend in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Was invited to a function, given the chance to meet,in May...

I am not making this up.

There are times when I think there might just in fact be, up there, above the ceiling tiles, an Ed Harris like character pulling the strings of us puppets starring in this Truman Show we call life.
