Quote of the Day

The QOTD comes from Cato Institute blog regarding the Republican's political calculus behind raising the minimum wage.

"But, as far as I can tell, the conclusion was that it is better to be actually anti-worker than to have a false “antiworker image.”

The Republican ruling coalition continues to forgo its principles with issues like the minimum wage. They continue to play by an old set of rules where the left controls the press and can effectively demagogue issues.

But the world has changed. The Democrats and the mainstream media do not control the media environment anymore. It is time for Republicans understand this, and in the case of the minimum wage, effectively communicate that the impact of this minimum wage legislation is to raise unemployment among the lowest wage workers.
